a good bad design for farmers..
Amphitheatre design
i made a design in consideration with the anthropometrical pscology of the tamil nadu farmersmy idea is to make a good design and i have a hope of doing a good project which may fails in some considerations or aspects. and this simple structure is designed in consideration with cost effectiveness and anthropometricallycomfortable design but it will fails under some aspects such as climate and orientation.
so why this project is a worst design?
since i gave such a wind catchy sides, it may be easily transported from one place to another that is
the bamboo frame will break when a strong wind approaches the structure.
and also when it was raining it can be a good design for insects but not for humans because the site is inside a agriculture farm.
Thanks, Sundar, for this 1st contribution to this blog!
ReplyDeleteMay I add one more new thought why it is a "bad design":
Normally, the main problem with light structures (wooden or metallic) is their resistance to lateral forces - mainly the wind. If in most cases of conventional heavy constructions (such as concrete, stone or brick masonry) the role of the structure is to ensure that the building would not fall down and collapse, in light construction the main structural challenge is to prevent the building from flying. In this case, your scheme is made in such a way that it is quite likely that it might take off and fly in case it is hit by a strong wind.
